Overview And Experience
He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all Courts Subordinate thereto; a Commissioner for Oaths; He is a Senior Legal Consultant at M/s Twinobusingye Severino & Co. Advocates. He is the Provincial Representative for Eastern Uganda to the Executive Council of the Catholic Lawyers Society International; He is Director Legal Affairs at Karamoja University of Peace & Technology, founding Member and Executive Director PAL-LEGAL AID Clinic.
He practices law in the areas of commercial and corporate law, land, taxation, banking election petitions, human rights and criminal defense; He is also a social justice advocate having experience in human rights with civil society consultancy in legal aid service provision e.g. human rights, SGBV, communal land rights among members of extractive communities.
Scholarly Works
‘’Assessment of the Legality of rampant Land Evictions in Uganda.’ A research paper submitted in fulfillment for the award of a post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Law Development Centre- Kampala, Uganda, the paper investigated and interrogated the causes and effects of the land evictions which has become the order of the day in the entire country looking at historical issues, social, economic, political set-up, legal lacunars and the foreplay of global-capital, meanwhile suggesting the appropriate and probable questions to avert the evil of illegal land evictions.
‘’The role of international Law in securing the lives and future of the Ateker cluster across the borders’’ (Unpublished) A research paper to be submitted in fulfillment for the award of a Masters Degree of Laws at Makerere University- Kampala, Uganda, the paper investigated and interrogated the causes and effects of the land evictions which has become, This paper explores the various backgrounds of the Ateker people examining their socio-economic stratosphere, the cross-cutting/cross border issues, and how the current legal regimes-municipal and international/regional impact on their fundamental human rights and living.
